Organizations located in or holding events within the Municipality are welcome to contact the Municipal Office if they would like an event posted. Please allow two weeks for your information to be added to this page.

 

Killarney Volunteer Firefighters Fish Fry Weekend

 

July 29 & July 30, 2023

 

 

The Fish Fry is typically held on the last full weekend in July and kicks off on Saturday night with an outdoor dance with live band. The festivities continue on Sunday with the fish fry, live music, penny sale, raffles and more. All events take place at the Killarney Community Centre at 58 Charles Street, with proceeds going to the Killarney Volunteer Firefighters Association.

 

 

Killarney Winter Carnival

Killarney’s Annual Winter Carnival is usually held on the first full weekend of February. This year, the Winter Carnival was held February 3rd, 2023 to February 5th, 2023. It was filled with outdoor winter fun for the whole family. There was a variety of games and activities for kids, hockey, skating and other entertainment (e.g., magicians, clowns etc...). Adults can participate in events such as the hockey tournament or curling bonspiel. Head over to Veterans’ Memorial Hall for the community dinner and/or the Carnival Dance on Saturday night. Curling Club Tournaments

Women’s Curling Weekend – usually held the third weekend in January.
The theme for 2024 is "Gala"!!
So get working on your costumes and do some rehearsals!

Catholic Women’s League Christmas Bazaar

Usually held on the 3rd Sunday in November, the Killarney Catholic Women’s League holds a bazaar at Veterans’ Memorial Hall, featuring a bake table, white elephant table, raffles, penny sale, and much more. A light lunch is also provided.
 

Canada Day Celebration

On July 1st, head to the Killarney Community Centre (58 Charles Street) for hot dogs, hamburgers, kids games, prizes and more (from 12 noon to 2 pm)! And of course it wouldn’t be a celebration without fireworks. Join us at the Ball Field on Stanley Street at dusk for what is always an impressive show!
 

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day services are normally held on November 11th, at the Cenotaph in Killarney village, beginning at 11 am. The cenotaph is located at the corner of Charles and Commissioner Streets. Light refreshments follow at the Veteran's Memorial Hall located at 56 Charles Street.
 

Seniors’ Tea

The Province of Ontario declared June as Seniors Month. In recognition of our seniors, the Municipality hosts an annual tea at Veteran’s Memorial Hall on Charles Street in Killarney Village. All seniors are welcome.
